Divine Presence,
Let’s pause
and remember that peace
does not belong somewhere far away.
It begins here.
In the way we see one another.
In the words we choose.
In the judgments we release.
In the hands we extend.
In the courage to listen
when another heart speaks.
Where there is fear,
may we become a presence of love.
Where there is division,
may we remember our shared humanity.
Where there is suffering,
may compassion move us beyond witnessing
and into caring.
May peace enter our homes,
our communities,
our nations,
and every place
where conflict has silenced hope.
And may we remember :
Peace is not only
something we pray for.
peace is something we practice.
May it begin with me.
And so it is.
