Before we begin,
let us center ourselves.
Take a deep breath in …
and let it out..
Today, on this
Memorial Day weekend,
we take time to honor
those we have loved,
those we remember,
and the enduring presence of love
that continues
to move through our lives.
And we remember
those words
from the Book of Isaiah …
”As a mother comforts her child,
so I will comfort you.”
Isaiah 66:13
We remember
that the Presence
of Divine Love
is always with us.
Like a mother
holding a child
through the night,
god meets us with tenderness
through every season of life,
comforting us
in moments of sorrow
and rejoicing with us
in moments of joy.
In times of uncertainty,
we are gently held.
In times of growth
and renewal,
we are lovingly encouraged forward.
We do not need
to hide our grief,
our fear,
or the tender places within us.
The love of the Divine
meets us exactly
where we are,
surrounding us
with compassion,
strength,
and peace.
And even when life changes
through loss
or transition,
we are never abandoned.
Love continues to move
within us
and through us,
reminding us
that we are forever united
in Spirit.
As we rest
in this comforting Presence,
what feels heavy
begins to soften,
and courage
quietly rises
within the heart.
And so we remember:
Love remains.
Presence remains.
We are not alone.
And so it is.
