When It Can’t Be Unseen

Reflection

Moment of Departure

There are moments when we find ourselves in a cave —
where what is seen is shaped by fear, power, or proximity,

and there are moments when what we see
can no longer be unseen.

What once felt certain begins to shift.

Comfort gives way to clarity,
and clarity does not always feel kind.

To see clearly
is not to rise above the world,

but to stand with it
without turning away.

It can cost us belonging.
It can cost us ease.
And still,
something in us knows
we cannot go back.

So we remain —
not to convince,
not to force,

but to carry what we have seen

with honesty,
and with care.
